By the third series fund, in which I served as General Partner, I We have received funds from Seki investors and managed a total of approximately 60 billion yen. After joining Sony Corporation, He involved in design of the world-smallest 8mm Camcorder as an engineer of processor and software development. Then he researched AI at University of California, Berkely. After that, he became a leader of the world-first object tracking video camera development. He was head of US lab in Sony US, VP then global hub HQ SVP as corporate technology, head of China lab, Sony China, VP. Now, he is a senor venture capitalist of Sony Ventures Corporation. He has involved startup investment since 1997.

After graduating from Keio University, I joined Brother Industries, Ltd. During my stay in Silicon Valley from 1997 to 1999, I saw firsthand how the dynamism of VC and Startups can help companies launch new businesses. While working as a project leader in the new business department and promoting new product releases, I launched a CVC in 2006 and have been responsible for open innovation activities for the past 17 years. Since 2016, as the head of the department, I have been promoting new business launches.

Then moved to Corporate Planning Div. in 2011 to develop new business such as a project with JAXA and open innovation with startups including investment in DNX Ventures. Started US startup investments and acquisition of Fracta as a lead before entering current position focusing on further accelerating open innovation.
